STREAMLINE YOUR MANUFACTURING WITH DURABLE PRE-FINISHED ALUMINUM AND STEEL

WHAT IS VITRANAR®?
Vitranar® is a flexible resin coating developed specifically for formed aluminum and steel applications in architecture.
This high quality coating technology allows the resins to flow and flex when aluminum and steel is folded or bent to reduce or even eliminate cracking or crazing, depending on the forming methods used. Eliminating the post-painting process saves time, money, and labor.

Proudly Made in the USA
Fairview Architectural is dedicated to providing the highest quality prefinished aluminum cladding. That’s why we’ve invested significantly in bringing manufacturing to the USA.
By sourcing materials domestically, you ensure consistent quality, reduce environmental impact, support the local economy, and benefit from faster lead times. Plus, you can avoid tariffs on imported products.

MATERIALS
Vitranar® flexible resin coatings can be applied to a base material of either steel or aluminum.
Depending on the intended use of the coated metal, multiple coating types can be used to achieve any solid, mica, metallic, patterned or chromatic finish.
BASE MATERIAL:
- Steel
- Aluminum
COATINGS:
- PVDF Kynar 500
- Polyester
- SMP
APPLICATIONS
Aluminum or steel that is coated with Vitranar® is available in sheet or coil form depending on the intended fabrication / forming method being used.

COILS
Coils of aluminum or steel are typically used for products that are formed or fabricated in a continuous process, such as roll forming or stamping.

SHEETS
Sheets of aluminum or steel are commonly used for forming panels, flashing and coping, or curtainwall components. Vitranar® is used in sheet applications such as Vitraplate® and Vitrabond®.
ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS
Low environmental impact due to controlled, high-efficiency process, leading to minimized waste, lower VOC emissions, and improved energy efficiency.
FULLY RECYCLABLE
Aluminum is 100% recycable, and 75% of all aluminum ever produced is still in circulation today. This is a result of aluminum not losing intergrity when recycled, therefore contributing to a truly circular economy.
LOW VOC EMISSIONS
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), are chemicals that evaporate easily at room temperature, therefore posing high health and environmental risks. Spray painting releases VOC’s into the air, while coil-coating reduces or even elimates the VOC spread, therefore helping the environment and the health of those in the manufacturing.
EFFICIENT MANUFACUTRING PROCESS
Coil-coating is a continuous manufacturing process that reduces all coating steps into one step. Not only does this reduce manufacturing time, it also reduces wasted materials. Any wasted materials are recycled and fed back into the aluminum supply chain, contributing to a fully circular economy.
KEY BENEFITS
FLEXIBILITY
The resins used in coil coatings are formulated to be elastic and bendable, allowing many forming and bending methods to be used without cracking or peeling the paint.
PROCESS
Vitranar® coated metal is available in both sheet and coil form, making it conducive to a wide variety of manufacturing processes, while reducing the number of manufacturing steps by eliminating the need for post-painting.
COMPLEX DESIGNS
Form complex shapes and intricate designs with the assurance of uniform and accurate coating of the entire manufactured component.
COST
Coil coating is a high-volume automated process, and it reduces additional manufacturing costs.
DURABILITY
Due to the higher quality resins and controlled application methods, Vitranar® coated aluminum and steel can be backed by warranties as high as 40 years, even in coastal environments.
CONSISTENCY
Precision controlled automated uniform application system ensures consistency in coating thickness and color.
COLOR OPTIONS
The Vitranar® Pre-Finishing process allows for endless colors, finishes and patterns. Available colors include solid, mica, metallic, chromatic and patterned finishes.
SPEED
Due to the reduced manufacturing processes, prefinished coil-coated aluminum and steel have reduced lead times. Faster manufacturing processes reduce the risk of costly project delays and increased costs.
