The Boulevard, the first residential building on Boston’s beloved Greenway (the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway park), is a unique development designed by Finegold Alexander Architects. The recently completed development includes 36 residential units — five of which are artist’s lofts, with the aim of attracting more artists to the area.
Fairview Architectural’s popular Vitrabond Copper Metallic finish was selected as the primary exterior façade material, along with Quaker Bronze to add a contrasting element to the design. The copper tones of both finishes provide a complementary palette to the surrounding backdrop of the Greenway.
Vitrabond FR is one of the most versatile and cost-effective aluminum cladding solutions on the market. Installation of the façade panels was made even easier thanks to the hard work and capabilities of Sanford Contracting with the entire façade built off site and trucked in so that many wall panels could be hung with a mobile crane in a single day. From start to finish, the façade panels were installed in just two months.
The Copper Metallic finish is part of Fairview’s standard color range, which features a number of metallic finishes that offer shimmer and sparkle to an exterior façade. These include Gold Metallic, Bronze Metallic, and Champagne Metallic, as well as the Silver Metallic and Dark Grey Metallic used together on the Treadmark project in Dorchester, MA: https://fairview-na.com/project/treadmark/.
